Yes, our traditional kits are made with 100% natural materials, including urushi lacquer and 24kt gold, both fantastic for repairs meant to be used and love in the kitchen and elsewhere.
Some kits and workshops will use 22kt gold or lower to reduce costs, but only 23kt gold and higher are considered suitable for food safe repairs, as they do not contain other harmful metals.
Please note that if you use our hand-blended bronze powder, those repairs will not be considered fully food-safe, so choose your finishing metals accordingly.
